Brooklyn 99 (this one is still on TV, so we are technically still watching it. BUT we are all caught up!)
We learned a lot about one another. We laughed even more. We went out. We stayed in. We spent a lot of time with family. We met new friends and enjoyed time with old friends. We spent many hours working on photography projects & jobs. We watched a lot of sports. We made goals. We failed at some goals. We set new goals. We accomplished goals. This year has been one for the books. 2016, we loved you. But we would be lying if we said we weren’t excited to see what’s in store for 2017!
As you may have noticed, my blog has changed locations. (you can still access it through blogger though! have no fear!) This is one of the bigger changes that I’ve been working on for 2017. I’ve been working on quite a few things to improve my brand & business in 2017 and I’m excited for those things to roll out in the next few months. My blogspot blog will be missed, but I am more excited for the changes that are being made this year than regretful, so I feel like that’s a good thing.
Like the rest of the world, I’ve set some goals for 2017. I, too, have a long list of things I would like to accomplish and become. But I also have a simple list that is more important than my long list. The goals on this list are small and simple, but “by small and simple things are great things brought to pass.” (Alma 37:6) I’m trusting that promise this year and I will be focusing on doing the small and simple things.
DAILY GOALS:
- read scriptures
- write in my journal
- say morning AND evening prayers
- take at least one picture with my big camera (DSLR)
MONTHLY GOALS:
- attend the temple
- shoot at least one wedding
- go on weekly planned dates
These are the goals I want to focus on & put all of my heart & soul into. This year I want to come closer to Christ. I want to have meaningful scripture studies again. I want to build my relationship with my Heavenly Father and also with my Savior. I want to feel the Spirit in abundance every day. I want to follow the promptings of I’m given & become what He wants me to become this year. I hope that you have the happiest of New Years. I hope that in 2017 you are blessed with everything you’ve been praying and hoping for. I hope that you find what makes you truly happy.
Happy New Year, my friends.
