Things have been going pretty well. I feel like this last week was forever long, but it was really great. So last Monday, Sister Willmore completely face planted as we were running to catch our ride to Champaign. And like a good companion I laughed at her for quite some time. Well, karma is real. Because Itotally face planted today at Ultimate Frisbee. And I didn't even catch it. :( I was so close. hahaha. So embarrassing. Elder Rogers laughed at me for a good 2 minutes. hahah. Oh well. Good times.
This week was good though. I can't remember specifics, but I remember some great stuff! We did a lot of service and I ended up with an antique camera and some filters. I'm not sure if they work, but they're super cool! So I'm pretty excited about them. I'll probably send them home soon. And we had exchanges. That was pretty neat. I quite enjoyed that. Our Sister Training Leaders are Sister Zundel and Sister Woodward-- we were all in the same MTC district, so that was really fun to see them and spend some time with them.
Oh. My solo. Oh goodness. So it started out as me singing two lines of solo and then the choir coming in. Well, yesterday morning there was only three people who showed up to choir practice: Me, Sister Willmore, and Brother Paradee. So we ended up singing in a trio where all of us sang a solo and we switched parts and did all sorts of crazy stuff. hahaha. We even had some dance moves because we had to figure out the mic situations because I'm not very loud. hahaha. Yeah, it was an adventure. But it was good. And then they asked me at the pulpit to say the closing prayer in Sacrament Meeting. hahaha. I was so surprised and shocked. Bishop Drake and Brother Dewitt had a real good laugh about my facial expression. hahaha.
Over all, things are way good. I've been thinking a lot lately about good vs. right and knowledge vs. understanding. It's amazing to learn the differences. I learn and come to know something new about the gospel every day, but after weeks and months of studying, I think I am finally coming to understand and apply some of the most basic principles. And that's where the power of the gospel comes from is the understanding and application. It's been a really neat change. However, it has been really hard deciphering between good and right. This has been something that I've been thinking about for the last year or so and will probably be a topic of study for a while. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!
