I want to talk to you about something important. Something that was really hard for me that I didn’t realize was an issue until someone commented on it while I was selling swimsuits at a kiosk last year. (you can read that experience here)
To make a long-ish story short, over the last few years, I’ve had a really hard time feeling good and comfortable in my own skin. I felt betrayed and disappointed by my body and wasn’t super impressed with it. Because trying to have a baby can seem to turn everything you’ve ever known upside-down, I began having awful thoughts about my body and didn’t super want to take care of it or love it because I truly felt like it had betrayed me.
Obviously, in order to have a baby, it was important that I took care of my body. Not just in the way I eat, but also by taking care of it and feeling confident in my own skin. Honestly, I feel a little weird talking about this because it’s so personal, but I also feel like it’s important.
