SHOP GRAND REOPENING NOVEMBER 1, 2022

First Trimester - 16 Weeks Pregnancy Updates

Because we did IVF, we knew we were pregnant very early on. Which has been SO fun, but SO hard to keep secret!! I got in trouble for telling a few people, but definitely tried to keep it on the DL because we didn't want to slip up in front of family. But I've been doing secret updates on my phone so that I could give you all the information you would want!

this is the ultrasound picture they gave us of our little embryo after our Frozen Embryo Transfer. unfortunately, we did not take a very attractive photo. hahahahah

Gender: too early to tell.
Nursery Progress: nothing new, other than we got the confirmation for the chair and found out it will be here in July!!
Best Part of the Week: Telling my family! We wanted to be safe because I was going to Lake Powell and also needed my Dad to administer my PIO shots while I was on vacation, so it just worked out that way.

Size of Baby: the size of a Jelly Belly Jelly Bean!
Symptoms: NAUSEA + some throwing up each morning. Hellooooooo morning sickness.
Cravings: Candy. And sandwich meat-- which of course I can’t have...
Anything Make You Queasy or Sick: Regular Meat. It sounds so good until it is on my plate and then… I just can’t.
Baby Movement: none. It’s the size of a jelly bean.
Gender: half of my nieces and nephews say girl. The other half say boy, so really it’s anyone’s game here.
Nursery Progress: Nothing to report here right now.
Best Part of the Week: Telling my family. It was so fun to see everyone’s reactions. My little brother wins for the best reaction though. He was so confused and then once he figured it out he ran over and gave me the BIGGEST hug. It was so sweet. Also, LAKE POWELL. It was so, so relaxing and so fun! We just played, swam, ate and played some more. No work, just play!

8 Weeks

Size of Baby: the size of a gummy bear!
Symptoms: same ole same ole. Nausea & fatigue. Thankfully, it is mostly in the mornings. So I get some extra snuggle time with Mozzie after dropping Parker off at work.
Cravings: Nothing really. I craved cheese and crackers for a minute there. But mostly I have more aversions to food than cravings these days.
Anything Make You Queasy or Sick: being awake. Or not eating. I try to snack throughout the day because my empty stomach makes me very queasy.
Baby Movement: none yet, but our baby app says that baby is moving around now!!! So in a couple months when baby is a little bigger we should be able to feel those movements!
Gender: don't know. But Parker guesses boy.
Nursery Progress: nothing new. It's just an empty room with a rug for now.
Best Part of the Week: Hearing baby's heartbeat and telling Parker's family. It was so fun to surprise them with our happy news.

Parker's family has been so patient with not knowing much of this process. We decided to announce to Parker's dad on Father's Day. My sister, Shaye, made a beautiful embroidery ultrasound that said, "Baby Banks is coming January 2020." We wrapped it up in a bag and patiently waited for present opening time. When the time came for us to give our present, my heart was POUNDING. I was so excited and so nervous. His dad opened up the bag and pulled it out upside-down (). He flipped it over and it took him a minute to figure out what it was. One of Parker's sisters saw the ultrasound shape and gasped. And then Parker's dad exclaimed, "BABY BANKS IS COMING JANUARY 2020!!!" He threw his hands in the air with the biggest smile. Everyone cheered so loud. Parker's Mom started crying and rushed over to give us the biggest hugs and later said, "I haven't been this happy in a long time." Baby Banks, you are SO loved. We can't wait to meet you.

13 weeks

Size of Baby: the size of a Pokemon card!
Symptoms: seriously, this whole second trimester is coming and I have no symptoms thing is awesome. I felt so good this week!
Cravings: I don't think I had any this week.
Anything Make You Queasy or Sick: not this week!! I've had to rest a little, but what else is new?

Gender: really starting to think boy… but we have zero proof of that...
Nursery Progress: backwards progress, we have had people staying with us, so we took all of the nursery stuff out for now.
Best Part of the Week: FEELING BABY. It made it so much more real. And also telling Parker's grandparents. We got ahold of Parker's paternal grandpa (dad's dad) and his maternal grandma (mom's mom) and it was SO funny because it was just like having a conversation with Parker's dad and his mom… but in 20 years.
Looking Forward To: telling the world and finding out the gender… which means we REALLY need to find an OB...

14 weeks!!

Size of Baby: the size of a pack of Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum Tape!
Symptoms: my belly decided to pop out this week. Like literally in one day. It was wild. (16 week update… it decided that was just a test run… i think i just ate a bunch that day…)
Cravings: orange chicken and fruit and pebble ice and ICE cold water.
Anything Make You Queasy or Sick: not snacking enough
Baby Movement: I woke up around 5:00am on Wednesday and could feel baby moving around quite a bit for about 3 minutes. (I put my hand on my belly and feel it that way. I still haven't felt baby just on its own)
Gender: we don't know yet, but I'm getting more and more anxious to know!
Nursery Progress: we organized baby's closet (which is currently storage for other things right now and carpet cleaned the floor. We'll put the stuff back in once the carpet is dry!)
Best Part of the Week: feeling the baby move I think will always be at the top of my list. It is just so reassuring to know that it's happy and safe in there. Also, having my belly pop out was so exciting and fun!! Stuff is getting real around here!! We also announced to the world this week and the amount of love we’ve received since our announcement has been unreal. We are so grateful!!!
Looking Forward To: feeling baby even more and putting the nursery back together!

currently our only “bump picture” hahahahahaha. it’s kind of sad…

Gender: not sure yet!
Nursery Progress: we got a little chest of drawers for baby's clothes this week!
Best Part of the Week: definitely feeling baby move on its own!

I’ll share more updates in September. Hopefully we will remember to take pictures of my growing bump each week now that it’s actually growing. I hope you enjoyed this lonnnnnnng update. Is there anything I should add to the weekly update list?
