Life is good! I can't complain at all! I love being a missionary SOOOOOOO much! This week was pretty weird with transfers and all. So here's the run-down:
Monday: We had normal P-day, but then we had a Ward Activity that we planned. It was a Box Car Drive-in Movie (for the kids) and a cook-out (aka barbecue) for everyone else. We just played at a park and fellow shipped with everyone. It was a really fun activity. And the kids got WAY into it. The little girl that won the competition's car was so legit. It had working headlights. Super legit. Elder Tiegs got pretty into it as well. His car was pretty darn cool. But I definitely have to say that Sister Oberfield and mine's was probably the best. It was a gold box spray painted gold with the words: "Winningest Box Car in the Nation" on it. Therefore it HAD to be the winner. It just HAD to be. hahaha. But it was a really great activity.
Tuesday: We just had a normal day + said bye to everyone for Sister Oberfield. It was a really great day.
Wednesday: Transfer day. We rode down to Transfer Meeting with Brook Lewis and her three kids. I love them all so much. It was so much fun. Transfers was good. Kinda weird, seeing as I'll never go to another one of those meetings ever again (as a missionary, of course). But I was talking with the Assistants on the stand before it started and then I almost got to sit on the stand for the meeting because I didn't move and Sister Morgan made the Elders scoot down for me. But then President rained on that parade and made me go sit down. But it was okay. Would've been cool, but that's not my job. hahaha. It was fun to see everyone though. I love being around other missionaries too. They are all such spiritual giants and I LOVE feeling of their Spirit and enthusiasm for the work. But then after the meeting I found Sister Montgomery and we started to head back to Salem. And then we had a lesson that night and just started the transfer off right. It was really great.
And the rest of the week was pretty similar in awesome-ness. I can't complain at all. Sister Montgomery is an awesome missionary. She's from Mesa, Arizona as well. She is 24 and was a hair stylist before coming on a mission. She's been out for 3 months. She's super cool and has such an awesome testimony. Teaching is really fun. She's not afraid to be bold at all, which is so good. Great things are happening.
Yesterday in church, one of the members of the Bishopric had us (the missionaries in the Ward) come up to the stand and then he was like, "Everyone else stand up." So everyone stood up. And he said, "If you literally cannot help the missionaries during the week, I want you to sit down. But if you can, stay standing." So the people that really can't help us (they work out of town or their super old and it takes everything for them to even get to church) sat down. And then he pulled out his phone and was like, "I'm going to take a picture of this because it looks to me like EVERYONE here can help the missionaries. So start helping them." And then he proceeded to take a few pictures of the congregation.... Not the most reverent thing in the world, but now we know that we can call pretty much anyone in the ward and they said they could help us. hahahaha. #centraliaward
Sorry I hash-tag everything. I think they are the funniest things ever. You're just going to have to get used to it, I guess. Oh, speaking of hash-tags. Last week, I hash-tagged my entire letter to President Morgan. And this week, he hash-tagged back. My life was made. I practically died when I saw that. He's the best. hahahahaha.
I love being a missionary. I love all of you. I hope you are all doing SO well. I love hearing from each of you every week. And I love that you share your testimonies of the gospel with me-- even if you might not recognize that you do. You are all amazing examples of living the gospel. I look up to you all so much.
I love you, Sister Sadie Leavitt
