let it be. (May 19, 2014)
Life is good here. We had quite the week. It was reaaaaaaaaaally long, but pretty stinking great over all.
We had some really unfortunate things happen that made it so we had to drop a few investigators that were progressing really well, but life gets in the way some times.. So that was a bummer. But on the other hand-- we were able to set a solid baptismal date with two of our investigators! And we're super stoked about it. And they are too-- which makes it even better. They have some things they still have to over come, but they'll definitely make it if they will put their trust in the Lord. I love the gospel so much.
Something Sister Oberfield and I have been talking a LOT about, is how true the gospel really is-- the change that it can make in our lives if we will really apply it! And it is so neat to see people actually change. The Atonement is REAL. I don't care what anybody says, it is real and we (as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) BELIEVE THAT.
The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I KNOW that. Without a doubt, it is the word of God. And people will get nearer to God by reading it than by any other book. I know it. I've seen it. And it's happened to me in my life. And if it can happen to me, it can happen to you. If you haven't read the Book of Mormon (ever or lately) read it. It WILL change your life if you'll let it. Please let it.
I love you all. I can't believe how quickly the end (of my mission) is coming. Please know that I am working hard still-- I don't want to miss anything or anyone. I still have a little full-time missionary left in me! Buuuuut because the end is coming so soon, I have a few fears (you know... the dating thing....) so Sister Oberfield and I role played talking to boys. hahahahaha. She's the best. It was hilarious. But I must say, I'm getting better at it... #suchmissionaries.
