So..... First off: the subject line. I still brush my prearly whites. No worries. It's a few transfers ago, I bought enough toothbrushes to last me one a transfer until the end of my mission. And guess what. I opened my last toothbrush TODAY. :/ yikes bikes. Here we go. 17 months down, 1 to go. Crazy, crazy.
Second: this week has been so crazy. Monday holidays really throw everything off. And then when BOTH you AND your companion get sick; you run completely OUT of miles with 4 days left; annnnnnd it's stinking hot outside it makes for a pretty eventful week. We walked and walked and walked and walked annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
But we had some AMAZING experiences walking this week! first: we were walking and this lady was like, "Are you the Mormons?" and we of course said "YES!" and then b-lined it straight for her. We talked to her for a while about the Atonement because her life is falling apart. Then we set up a return appointment because we had to get moving to our next appointment. Well, we went back yesterday and she let us in and we talked for a while. And then her husband came home and talked with us and he was like, "I don't know what you girls did, but the fact that you made it in that door is amazing. She never lets any church people in." It was so cool. She's amazing and once she starts applying the Atonement in her life, there will be such a drastic change in her family's life.
second: we were walking and this guy pulled over and parked in a parking lot and was like, "Are you the missionaries?" and we of course said, "YES!" and he told us that his family was moving from Kentucky and that they were looking for the nearest LDS Church. His family is originally from Utah. But we're totally about to get another active family. And we. are. stoked.
Nexty, next, next: Transfers. they're this week. Sister Oberfield is being transferred. to St. Louis Hills 2. She's headed to the citaaaay. And I am staying. My new companion will be Sister Montgomery.
I love you all. CONGRATULATIONS CLANCY!!! I'M SO STOKED FOR YOU!! You're going to be such an awesome missionary. Guess what. Sister Oberfield and I were talking about how cool it would be to serve somewhere where Joseph Smith lived and grew up.... guess you're just living the dream here.
You are all too cool. I love you so much. I'm sending the rest of the 50 days stuff today. :) However, I got a little "lazy" with them and you started getting quotes instead of testimonies. But they are still power statements, so I counted them. And there are some pretty hilarious things in there too. :)
I love you. Love, Sister Sadie Leavitt
