sannnnnnndy creeeeeeek
Don't worry. Sandy Creek is totally a real live place. HOWEVER, it is not the town's name. It's the Ward's name. And everything is all confusing because we live in Arnold, Missouri, but our area is actually technically Hillsboro, Missouri (which is like a 20-30 minute drive) so yeah... And the ward boundaries are the biggest in the stake. It's pretty intense. We're hoping to be able to move into our area soon so that we're not a burden on the members and so we don't have to use like 80,000 miles every month... Alright, alright. We only use 1250, but whatevs. It's still a lot. We're in the St. Louis South Stake, so we're pretty close to the city. It's a lot of fun so far. I'm enjoying it. The members are pretty rad.
Sister McCoy has been out for almost nine months (her click date is like 3 days after Christmas). She's pretty cool. I like her.
Speaking of click dates.... my YEAR MARK is in like one week. What the? Where did all of that time go?? But just a side note, I kind of dislike this whole, "only having 6 months left" thing because EVERYONE asks me what I'm going to do after my mission..... and my reply, "haven't the foggiest." So we'll see. My life is definitely changing before my little eyeballs.
But all is well with me. I definitely miss Jacksonville. I went to church yesterday and there were no signers. :( It was a huge bummer. But I'll adjust here soon.
OH! I almost forgot-- the coolest part of the week! We were at the church on Saturday night and this guy walked in and said that he wanted to be baptized! So we just filled up the font right then and there and got him baptized................... juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust kidding. Well, sort of. He had been taught by the previous sisters and his baptism date was on Saturday. So we walked into a baptism. Took all the credit. And then walked away. hahahahaha. Just kidding. I definitely give those Sisters the credit. We didn't even meet him until his baptism. So that was kind of funny. But it was a way good service. The Spirit was definitely there. I enjoyed it.
Merry Christmas my lovelies. I will DEFINITELY be google chatting with you. I want to see your lovely faces on Christmas morning. :) We'll probably be calling between 10-1 (my time). I'll be sure to call the cell phone first though, just so we can get everything hooked up. But we only get 40 minutes this time. So NO INTERRUPTIONS. Just tell everyone your favorite daughter/sister/granddaughter will be calling and you just simply cannot take their calls or texts at that time.
I love you. The Gospel is true. Reach out to someone before Christmas-- "It's Jesus's happy birthday!"
I love you! Sister Sadie Leavitt
