Berkeley's Birth Story | Part 1

The photos in this post were taken by our favorite photographer, Alice from Alice Shoots People. On December 30, 2019, I was doing exactly what I had been doing for the prior 10 weeks-- resting and taking it easy. I had my 36 week check-up the next day and so I spent most of the day watching TV and scrolling through Instagram. My phone rang and it was my Doctor’s office. They asked me if I would be willing to come in that day rather than the next day. I didn’t have anything else to do, so I said I could make it work. The car at home isn’t my favorite to drive in colder weather, so I called Parker and let him know I would be coming to trade him cars so I could go to my new appointment.  I drove over to Parker’s work, parked the car and started walking over to Parker’s car. I got to the door of the car, went to open it and suddenly felt a gush of fluid.

Full Nursery Reveal

I really, really, really love how her nursery turned out and I just cannot wait to snuggle her and spend more time in there with her. I love how simple and functional everything in her room is. It feels cozy but spacious and I just really love that fact.

Thoughts About Baby Girl

This week we hit our big goal mark: 35 weeks! At 26 weeks when I was first having pre-term labor symptoms, 35 weeks felt sooooo far away!! (I mean that IS 9 weeks!) I was really nervous we wouldn't make it. But here we are! 35.5 weeks, just barely celebrated Christmas and now, anxiously waiting for the arrival of our sweet baby girl.

Pregnancy Updates [27 Weeks - 31 Weeks]

In my last bumpdate post, I said at the end that hopefully the next one would be a little more boring… Well, I must have jinxed myself because we spent another two days in Labor and Delivery AND I’m dilated to 1cm and 80% thinned. My doctor says I could stay this way for another two months or things could change pretty quickly, so we’re just taking things one day at a time over here. But we’ve officially made it to 32 weeks and I feel REALLY good about that!
