the sisters who didn't cry wolf
Hellllllllllloooooooo my dear family! hole. eeee. craaaaap. seven days, folks. SEVEN DAYS. It is so crazy to think that I only have seven days left in the MTC! We got our travel plans on Thursday and found out that we have to be at the travel office at 6:00 on Tuesday morning and that we fly out at 9:40. We were told that we could get a calling card to call home from the airport. I'm still debating on whether or not I should do it. I think it would be great to talk to all ya'll, but it would only be for a minute and then that would make me kind of sad because I wouldn't be able to talk for very long. So I'm kind of stuck on whether or not I should. So just know that I miiiiiight be calling around 7:30-8:30. But I might not. Just keep your phones at the ready, just in case. I was talking to some of the French Elders (they are like my best friends here. I love them so much. probably because they respect me in the game of four square. they know I'm a threat and they don't back down. which is super nice. Because honestly, I just do not appreciate when they go easy on the sisters.) but anyway, they don't leave the MTC until February 18th. I. WOULD. DIE. I have officially learned why I was called english speaking. Honestly, the food would kill me. it's awful. I mean it tastes just fine, but then it doesn't go ANYWHERE. it stays right in you. it's horrid. So this morning we woke up at 12:15 to ANOTHER fire alarm. They apparently just refuse to insulate those darn pipes. Oh well. It was fun.... I guess. Okay, so THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF THE LETTERS!! (clear my throat) Addie. :) hahahaha. I got your dearelder AND your letter! I got lots of letters this week and felt so loved! It is so crazy what mail can do for your day. hahaha. I don't think I'm winning anymore. The Elder from Torrance basically gets a package a day. spoiled much? haha. Nah, it's alright. But seriously keep the letters coming! I love them so much! (I cried when I got the letter from Rex. darn it. I was doing SO well, too! Give that little boy an extra squeeze for me. And roll your tongue with him too! And whistle.) Okay, so the other happenings at the MTC. 1. The sisters in my district get to be host sisters tomorrow! So we get to help the new sisters get to their residences and stuff! So I'm really excited for that! (The next couple fun facts happened on Sunday) 2. We were told that within the next month, 31% of the missionaries at the MTC will be sisters. huzzah. sisters rule. this. world. hahahah. But really, that is so awesome. It's crazy to hear all of the stories of how sisters (and elders too, I guess) decided to go on a mission! 3. One sister said that by February, her family will have SIX missionaries out. SIX. from one baby family. so crazy. imagine Christmas and Mother's day... 4. (This on actually pertains to me, it's not just a fun fact) On Sunday they had all of the missionaries that were affected by the age change stand up in the Devotional. It was so amazing to see all of the people who jumped on the opportunity to go and do the Lord's work as soon as they could. It was even cooler to be a part of that. I kind of felt honored to be one of the many who were affected. It was super awesome. The Lord is good to His children. I love you all so, so, so, so, so, sooooooooooooo much! Love your most favorite sister missionary in the MTC, Sister Leavitt
