Week two in Cape G.
Well familia, This week has been pretty much great. As always, I can't really remember what happened but I remember the most important parts, so I guess that's all that matters!
Okay: soooooo We got to go to the temple on Saturday. And it turns out, we're actually not supposed to go to the temple once a transfer anymore, and they cancelled all of the temple trips after Saturday, so we were REALLY lucky! And it was awesome. The new movie was fantastic. I loved it. Oh, I had to write "a statement" about the whole washing machine fiasco. That was less than stellar. And then I gave it to the Assistants at the temple. Because I was supposed to fax it to Sister Batchelor, but the only fax machine that I am aware of in this town is at the library. And it costs some dollars to use, so I went a different route and just had the pony express come get it.... or the assistants. It's whatever. Pretty much the same thing. So we met them outside of the temple after our session and I gave it to them. But then I realized that I forgot my belt in the locker I used so we had to go back into the temple to get that. And then we went back out and we couldn't find any of the members we came with (it was the stake relief society temple trip...) so we went back into the temple and the nice temple worker took us to the cafeteria where there was delicious food to be had. And so we ate. And then we went home. It was a way fun trip.
Other than that, it was pretty much a normal week. Lots of tracting, some teaching, and a lot of good times.
OH. WAIT. I ALMOST FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE ENTIRE WEEK. the day my entire life changed for the best. (okay, that's not true. but this seriously was one of the coolest moments of my entire life) Okay, so Sister Furch taught me how to play this game called Farkle. Or 10,000. It's a dice game where you roll the dice and whoever gets to 10,000 first is the winner. Well, Sister Furch told me that one of the rules is that if you roll the dice and all six of them are the same number, then you automatically win. We play it almost every night after mission prayer. So I had been trying for like a good two weeks (since she taught me how to play the game) to roll the magic automatically win roll. Well, folks. It happened on the 24th. And I took pictures. Because I was so stoked. Sister Furch was even stoked. Even though she lost. I honestly didn't think it would ever happen. And then it did. And it was the coolest thing ever. And then one night we played Uno and Sister Furch keeps score. And we ended up playing over 40 games because nobody was winning. Well, actually Sister Furch kept winning, but she never got any big points from me. So it took FOR. EV. ER.
Things are going well here. Tomorrow I have to give a training in District Meeting. I'm hoping that it'll be good. I worked on it basically all morning long. It's about "How to Begin Teaching" from Preach My Gospel.
Anyway, things are pretty alright on this end. I'm super sad that I won't get to be at the airport when Grandma and Grandpa come home! Give them hugggggggggge hugs for me! I hope you are all well. Don't be surprised if you get a nice little call from Sister Batchelor about the Washington Apartment. And don't say I didn't warn you. Fight hard, momma. Fight hard. Because it WASN'T my fault! Love you,
Sister Leavitt
