a few weeks ago, i was in a rut and i didn't even know it.
i went to my first day of second block summer classes. not necessarily stoked, but not necessarily
not
stoked... just somewhere in the middle...
i sat down in one of my classes and had this
overwhelming
feeling that i wasn't doing what i wanted to be doing.
now, some of you may think, "well, just because you want to do something doesn't mean it's what you
need
to be doing." and you're right. i think sometimes (a lot of the time) Heavenly Father asks us to do things that we don't want to do. or things that we think would be just too dang hard for ourselves; but He brings us to it + brings us through it.
but i'm also a
firm
believer that if something is important to you, then it's important to Him. He wants us to fulfill our dreams and be as happy as we possibly can! He doesn't want us to do something just because we feel like that's what others want us to do. He gave us agency (the ability & option to choose) for a reason.
we each have different paths in life, but ultimately the goal is that each path will lead us all back to the same place. together again with Heavenly Father.
and even though i don't understand it, i'm grateful He needs some people with college degrees in Heaven. but i'm grateful that He also needs garbage men. He needs people who are good at sports (hey park, maybe there
is
NBA in heaven... i don't know...) He needs women who are stay at home mommas. He needs all of us. He needs our talents because
we
need our talents.
everyone has something special within them that helps them get through and cope with this weird & difficult (at times) life. develop THAT. because i know if you develop the talent or ability that helps YOU, it
will
be able to help others to
o. and i think that's the point-- to help each other get back home.
so no matter where you are in life right now, work hard, do what you love, chase your dreams, live your dreams, and be increasingly happier every day. start where you are & do what you can. but trust me,
you can do more than you ever thought you could

so get up and go! use your talents & blow your own dang mind. (and others' in the process!) because God created YOU to be YOU.
